We know what we want out of our lives. The jobs we want, body we want, or even relationships we want. We know exaclty what we want and we want it right now, this instant, but we aren't willing to pay the price to get it. Totally forgetting that there is a process we need to go through that helps to acquire that wanted outcome. It's through this process that we begin to acquire the skills, mentality, and attitudes that help us to obtain and maintain the final outcome. It's just like the fixer-uppers that the Scott brothers restore, that were not equipped with the buyers' wanted features until somebody rolled up their sleeves and put in the work. We too have to roll up our sleeves in our lives and be willing to put in the work to fix up the season we are in to obtain our dreams, our goals, the life we want to live.
So the big question is, have you identified your vision, dreams, or goals? This is the first step. You have to see what you want in your mind before you see it as your reality. Next, before you get started, you have to count your cost. Is the process worthy of the outcome? Are you willing to roll up your sleeves and hang in there, even when unforseen issues arise? Are you willing to go the whole nine yards tenaciously to achieve your goals? Or do you believe someone is going to bring your dream to you wrapped up in a pretty little package with everything you desired? If you believe that the latter will occur, remember, there's even a price to pay for that. Don't get blindsided! If you are you willing to pay the cost to have the life you dream of having, get ready to experience life with a whole new outlook. Not looking at what others will bring to you, but instead what you can bring to others. Like what the Scott brothers do when they restore homes, let's do the same thing with our lives. Let's look beyond what's in front of us and instead at what will be the final outcome. A life we enjoy living, giving thanks for having, and worthy of sharing. So, are you willing to pay the cost?
